Celebrating the legacy for cycling created by the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 is a 100-mile cycling event described as the 'London Marathon on Wheels'.
Taking place on Sunday, August 4, the event will start in the new Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, then follow a 100-mile route on closed roads through the capital and into Surrey’s stunning countryside. With leg-testing climbs and a route recently made famous by the world’s best cyclists, it will be a truly spectacular event for all involved.
But the distance is not the only challenge. All those taking part must complete the course in nine hours as the elite race, including many of the Olympic greats, will be hot on your wheels.
The line-up includes ex-Arsenal and England striker Alan Smith; double Olympic rowing gold medallist James Cracknell; Olympic gold medal hurdler Sally Gunnell, OBE and Grand National-winning jockey Marcus Armytage.
So far we have nine Dell colleagues who are taking part and raising money for Action for Children, and we wish you all the best of luck!
We have a few places left in our RideLondon-Surrey 100 team, so make sure you get in touh today if you would like to join our team. All you have to do is email: firstname.lastname@example.org and ask to be part of this amazing event.
