Untreated, half of people with tuberculosis and all with AIDS die. Treated, most live. With proper support and access, the poor or displaced can lead healthy lives. GHC helps make that a reality.
Cambodia is one of the highest TB burdened countries in the world, which is compounded by its serious AIDS problem. TB is the largest cause of death in AIDS. CHC/GHC is attacking TB and AIDS in Cambodia and giving children and adults access to medicines and care to allow them to lead healthy lives. CHC/GHC is pioneering much needed new approaches to provide better diagnosis and improved care through its unique delivery and discovery approach reaching the most vulnerable in the country.
CHC/GHC provides access to free care for TB and AIDS to some of the poorest people on earth, while simultaneously building models and approaches to improve care and to find more effective and innovative treatments and diagnostic approaches.
We will provide TB & AIDS drugs & care to 500 Cambodian children and adults who are in urgent need, who can then live healthy lives. Expanding our approaches and enhanced diagnosis and treatment can lead to tens of thousand of lives saved globally.
