Dear Friends and partners,
Greetings from Kribi !
We are pleased to inform you that the sum of $ 10,170 our project “Access free education for 60 pygmy children “ raised during the September Open Challenge from 72 donors is already in our account .
Thank you very much for all your support. It has been indeed very amazing to see how many of you really believe in supporting children's education in rural Cameroon. A very big thank you from all of us here.
Your valuable support made our project “earn a spot on Global Giving “ which means that this project has advantage to remain on Global Giving website and could continue to receive donations.
This is one of our few sources of income for the Centre SIKATI of Mingo’o project and therefore without it we would not be able to continue offering literacy and numeracy. Over and above education the children will also have a safe place to learn and 1 meal per day. This community suffers from unreliable and poor standard public education because of distance.
We shall build a toilet hall, start a classroom, the foundations of a good, safe environment for learning .This construction will start soon on December with the begining of the dry season, as rain is still falling; we are able to pay regularly our teachers salary and feed our pupils for a year.
This may sound insignificant but it is a vital aspect of this Project to provide the children in Mingo’o , who are generally malnourished and come to school hungry, with much needed nutrition and will aid them in concentrating and taking in more from the lessons taught.
Special Thanks go to Mr Jean Philippe Blochet who took a lot from his heavy calendar to advertise our project . It would have been not possible without your support.
Many thanks once again. We would be very happy to hear any feedback from you all.
With kindest regards,
