What is the issue, problem, or challenge?
Looking different in a society that idolizes beauty can present insurmountable challenges and often leads to low self-esteem, social rejection and isolation. Living with facial disfigurement is a social disability that affects over 1.5 million Canadians. AboutFace supports this diverse and unique constituency and empowers them to have courage and confidence to participate fully in society.
