The Association of African Entrepreneurs was founded in May 2004 in Accra, Ghana. The Association is formally registered under the Ghanaian Companies Code, 1963 (Act 179).
Africa is home to marginalized but enterprising individuals. These people subsist in low-income communities. They are affected by unfavorable economic policies, illiteracy and poor enterprise support infrastructure.
We hope to help alleviate these problems and challenges within the limited resources of AAE through knowledge, information-sharing, partnership, advocacy, investment clubbing, grass root training et cetera. This can only be realised with your moral support, annual dues, donations and participation in our programmes.
Entrepreneurs are an essential component of wealth creation. They help grow prosperity in communities and nations. In turn, their actions are part of the solution to alleviating poverty. They are a vital piece of this puzzle that cannot be completed by government and international NGOs alone.
