Chaiten Volcano eruption in Chile

Chaiten Volcano eruption in Chile
In May of 2008 a volcano near the small town of Chatien, Chile began to erupt for the first time in 9,000 years. Virtually all of the community's 5,000 residents had to be evacuated, residents taking refuge in neighboring towns and cities outside the reach of the destructive lava, ash, and smoke.

It is clear that the displaced families and individuals of Chaiten are living under the shadow of a terrible natural disaster that destroyed their homes, livelihoods, and community and keeps them living in a state of limbo with no clear direction for what will happen to them next
