High school girls in rural Kenya participate in a cluster of integrated programs that provide that a vital supportive environment and create diverse opportunities for education beyond academics.
For girls to successfully challenge traditional and cultural barriers that limit their choices and trap them in the cycle of poverty, the most crucial factors are education and support. Broadening a girl’s choices for her future can keep her safe from exploitation, delay marriage and pregnancy, and encourage her to pursue post secondary opportunities that will ultimately increase her family prosperity. Your contribution helps just one girl participate in all JOP Mpower Workshops and Trainings.
Project Activities include **18 hours of computer training **life skills workshops covering topics such reproductive health, leadership and relationships ** reproductive health education **Sister-to-sister peer counseling
It's a proven fact. Women and girls aren’t the problem; they hold the key to the fight against poverty. Educated women spend money wisely on their children's health and education, empowering a new generation to create a brighter future for themselves
