US $ 14,400 is needed to support 400 Girls with Sanitary Pads and Counselling Support for 12 Months
Over 700 School Girls do not have access to Sanitary pads in 10 primary Schools in Kyenjojo district. Most of them use papers during menstruation which expose them to Sexual Reproductive Health Infections and Complications. Some Girls have been reported to have droped out of school and got married due to lack of Counselling during menstruation.
Formation of Girls Education Clubs in Schools, Supplying Sanitary kits/ Pads to Schools through the Girls Clubs, Regular School Counselling Visits and Support.
The Projct will motivate girls to stay in school and complete their studies, number of women accessing formal employment will increase . The project will reduce early marriages/pregnancies among school girls and improve on their sexual Health.
