This project is aimed to produce 50,000 seedlings,which will be used in planting 50Ha in the Kikuyu Escarpment,Kenya.Over 5,000 households will be sensitized and be trained on their environment.
The project will fight desertification and eradicate poverty among the communities surrounding Kikuyu escarpment,Central Province,Kiambu district,Kenya.Over 25,000 residence will acquire knowledge on how they manage their environment and natural resources within their reach.
Reach out to 22 institutions and train them,hold 4 public awareness campaigns in four villages,hold 10 training of local leaders and opinion leaders.We shall raise 50,000 seedlings and plant them out in the Kikuyu escarpment.
Increased water flow from the rivers,increased rainfall and increased crop harvest from the farms.Irrigation on the lower side of Mai Mahiu.Healthy residence,due to access to clean drinking water.
