60 widowed families with 4-5 children each, will receive free in- calf heifer. This development scheme shall start up with 20 cows which will be allotted into 20 farmer groups residing in 10 parishes
This program aims at changing the lives of the most needy Orphaned and Vulnerable Children (OVC) house holds who are living under the conditions of un acceptable poverty and malnutrition. BOCADO has identified number of HIV/AIDS affected families which are vulnerable to the basic needs. This has put children at high risk of being forced into early marriage, sex workers, diseases, and Child labour. This project will improve the quality life to over 1,000 orphans who reside in Bukomansimbi County.
Farmers will be trained in basic animal husbandry, nutrition and project management. 20 cows will be given to farmer groups. Farmers will erect shelter and plant grass. Materials i.e. cement, will be provided. BOCADO will do the project monitoring
Neighboring farmers will learn new methods of farming and project management. Interaction and unity among women groups will attracts more crucial developments. Women will become stronger advocates of their human rights with in their communities.
