Our work aims the emotional and mental rehabilitation of children who were victims of sexual abuse and domestic violence.
In Brazil thousands of children are victims of many types of abuse (domestic violence, abandonment, sexual abuse) or are at high risk. Unfortunately, there are not enough shelters to accommodate all or several of them are overcrowded. The Projeto LAR is not just a shelter, but a real home. Children and youth start a new life and enjoy all the conditions to overcome the traumas experienced in the past. We provide a loving home, a life dignity.
Our project provides mental and emotional rehabilitation, forming new citizen in the moral and social aspect. For it, we have formed a team of doctors, psychiatrists and teachers. We need the work of these professionals to continue saving lives.
