I would like to take this opportunity to again thank you for your generous donation to Arts for All during the Global Giving Challenge this year. Our children's show, "The Tall Tales of Enoch" closed on November 17th after touring to over 2,500 in-need children in the 5 boroughs of New York! What a great success! It is because of your donations that this project was possible. I would like to share just a few quotes from children who attended "The Tall Tales of Enoch."

"I love(d) the show yesterday...It was so funny...(I) am so happy you came to our school. I hope you can come back." -Helen, Fourth Grader, Bronx

"I learned that you don't have to lie if you are scared of something." -Shiniece, Fourth Grade, Brooklyn

"Next time you do the show, can I be in it?" -Elementary school student , Manhattan

Please stay in touch with Arts for All and look for our future projects on Global Giving! You can also always visit our website at www.arts-for-all.org to learn about our current programs and events! We greatly appreciate your continued support and wish you a very happy holiday season!

Thank you and Update

To all of you who have supported this exciting endeavor, we cannot thank you enough! We are now in the midst of rehearsals for "The Tall Tales of Enoch" and have booked the show to over 2,500 in-need children all over New York City! We open on October 23rd and look forward to updating you on the progress. This would never have been possible without all of you!

Here is a summary of the show:

The Tall Tales of Enoch

By: Alan Ostroff

Enoch is a seven-year old with a problem – he's desperate to impress his new third grade class! Here are just a few of the tall tales Enoch tells during his first day: The toy badge he gets from his dad, the policeman, makes Enoch a real policeman too; his paper bag lunch is a gourmet feast he made himself, since he is a chef; he can’t play baseball at recess because his contract with the Yankees says he shouldn’t risk off-season injury; and he has to wear comically oversized pants in gym class because he is six foot five!!!

As people believe Enoch, he believes himself! But a combination of new friends, loving parents, and the realization that he can’t live up to his false promises, teaches the boy to be honest, and to stop spinning The Tall Tales of Enoch. The Tall Tales of Enoch is a short play for children, grades K-5, all about learning the importance of honesty, and discovering that being your true self is the most impressive thing of all!
