This project will provide 50 villages a cell phone--connecting 14,000-20,000 villagers--from which they will be able to contact doctors from a local hospital in an emergency.
This solution addresses the problem that some villages in Udaipur do not have a way to reach a hospital in an emergency. We will provide 50 villages with cell phones so that they will be able to contact the doctors at the Narayan Sewa Santhan Hospital. The doctors will respond via text message (SMS) and will travel to the village to provide care when necessary.
We will provide each village 1 mobile phone and a text messaging plan to contact the hospital We will organize the shifts the doctors will work so that messages are checked often We will implement a health education program into the school
This project will increase access to emergency health care by providing 50 villages with a cell phone--connecting 14,000-20,000 villagers--from which they will be able to contact doctors from a local hospital.
