By giving an education to young women, they are saved from a life of sex trafficking and the atrocities therein & are taught job skills to be able to obtain a reputable job and live an honorable life.
Resources are needed for our partner the Lycee Technical School in Ouahigouya, Burkina Faso. A computer network has been provided by a generous US donor, but need internet connection. Also need teaching materials for the students and scholarships for school fees and uniforms. Trauma counseling is needed also as one third of the female students have suffered from genital mutilation at the hands of their parents.
145 youth are enrolled at the Lycee Technical Academy. They are being taught main stream curriculum subjects, as history, math, language arts, as well as technical and administrative skills to obtain jobs.
A village is changed! By improving the lives of the women, the whole village is transformed. They are given a hope for a future and skills to improve the lives of their children.
