HFYU is a registered NGO operating in Uganda, providing Humanitarian Support and Social Services to deprived Youth via Education, Health and self-help projects that enhance socio-economic emancipation
HFYU strives to address a combination of socio-economic problems including poverty, lack of access to safe drinking water, access to Education, Health services, and Hunger. Children, most of whose parents died of AIDS and others live below the poverty line are the primary beneficiaries; although the community also benefits at secondary level. The project is designed to provide Basic Primary Education where children learn life-functional (vocational) skills relevant to their daily lives.
Basic Primary Education & Vocational Training, Health/HIV/AIDS Counseling & Testing, Sports and Crafts, Music/Dance/Drama, Water & Sanitation, Demonstrational Farming, “You matter” girls-only program, Livestock/Poultry farming & Mentoring.
This project and others that HFYU undertakes target to bring about self-sufficiency and increase literacy levels, to create a positive social change, reconstruct health and progressive minds among our youth and other community beneficiaries.
