Better World was established to help the Egyptian youth advance in the critical areas of academics, technology and now is changing the professional outlook for hundreds/thousands of Egyptians for free
The unemployment rate in Egypt and most of the developing country is getting higher every year, this has caused a lot of problem on the family and national levels. Due to the huge number of students at public universities, the students are no more able to acquire other skills besides the academic part and this is mainly the main reason for unemployment. So the project is focusing in filling these gaps through intensive training programs to ensure that they will be able to earn their living.
We are currently proving 6 language courses that are taught by native volunteers, this is besides the computer classes that teaches all levels of computer skills. Also the life skill program which focuses on improving some soft/interpersonal skills
After 2 year of success, we were able to open the doors to train around 1600 public univeristy students and recent graduates from public schools during Spring 08 semester, and we have also suceeded in getting around 25 job positions to our graduates
