Mission
The mission of The Mountain Fund is to eliminate poverty, its causes and symptoms, in developing mountain communities around the world.
Programs
Some of our "Small Projects with Big Results": Microfinance in Cusco, Peru; Open and run a health clinic in the rural village of Thulo Syabru, Nepal; Restore a monastery in that same area; Reuse/Recycle program for outdoor gear; Medical treks into remote areas of the Rasuwa district in Nepal.

Scott MacLennan - International Director
Scott founded The Mountain Fund in 2005. He also serves with: Premier Partner Trekking Program Coordinator, International Mountain Explorers Connection; President, Anatoli Boukreev Memorial Fund; Board member, Alpine Fund. He is the owner of MacManagment, which operates approximately 1500 units of low income housing in Colorado, New Mexico and Texas.
