EcoSystems Nepal has requested MWB's support in providingide affordable renewable energy to villagers that are not connected to grid po
The project directly benefits rural poor villagers that are not connected to grid power. With pedal power electricity they are able to be more productive, and children can study longer at night. Furthermore, with EcoSystems power solution, villagers are no longer reliant on dirty burning wood and oil. During the coming monsoon more than 4,000 villagers in Nepal will use one of thirty-one WireBridges built by EcoSystems. They will attend school, get to health posts, porter goods easier.
The MBA Volunteer's number one priority is supporting Ecosystems to lower its costs, sourcing local parts so that more villagers can be connected to the grid over the coming years.
EcoSystems device has a potential long term impact of relieving the need to burn wood and fossil fuels for lighting and power which will reduce the amount of respiratory disease in Nepal which is currently the number one Killie in the country.
