More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesCritical needs of the project consist of finance (about US$960,000), strategic social marketing and capacity strengthening of the personnel etc. Over 5 million poor households within and beyond eastern Nigeria are being targeted to benefit from this project. ActivitiesThe training, equipping and certification of 100 filter technicians; Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Education in communities; Social Marketing of filters; Establishment of a water quality and technology reference centre; Setting up of a Mo. farm. Rural Africa Water Development Project’s “Mor-sand Filter for oil producing communities” has expanded into the 28th community, and installs a total of 21,023 filters for local households. This milestone is part of the project’s long term aim to produce and install 78,000 filters for 78,000 households serving well over 624,000 people in 78 dispersed communities by 2012. Attachments:
