Mission

To provide water and sanitation services to informal settlements in the Nairobi river basin and to improve the ecological health of the Nairobi River.

KWENCH has three programs: water and sanitation, solid waste management and conservation and restoration of the Nairobi River and tributaries.

Personnel Overview

Constance Elizabeth Hunt - Executive Director
Ms. Hunt has worked in the field of water resources management for over 20 years. She has worked for the U.S. government and conservation NGOs in both the developed and developing world. Before starting KWENCH, she served as a senior advisor to the United Nations Environment Program. She has published three books on conservation and water management.

Benjamin Chege Wangai - Driver and interpreter
Mr. Wangai has worked for a law firm and a tourism company.
