http://www.globalgiving.org/pr/1800/proj1705a.html Progress Reports for Project #1705 on GlobalGiving.org http://www.globalgiving.org/pr/1800/proj1705d.html#progressReportLink <div style="overflow:hidden;word-wrap:break-word;"><p>The port Royal Pride Campaign has 3 main themes (sub-goals) with objectives around, the following themes – with completed or “in action” activities noted below:</p> <p>--Natural Resource Harvesting (and specifically reducing dynamiting) *Workshop for fishermen on sustainable marine harvesting *Environmental Quiz</p> <p>--Reducing the negative impact of recreational visitors from anchoring on the coral reef, parking on sand dunes and removing plants *Workshop for Water Taxi Operators to increase their capacity for advocating environmentally friendly tourism </p> <p>--Reducing littering and dumping, through creation of youth groups, along with bollard installation *Beach and Mangrove Clean up with 140 participants *School Visits</p> <p>As the above summary indicates, to date the Port Royal Pride Campaign, with Marsha Mason as Pride Campaign Manager, has completed, or is currently implementing 5 activities.
