It is also important to engage displaced communities in relief efforts (such as cooking, packing, and distribution, etc.) where appropriate, to mitigate the sense of hopelessness and helplessness that will further exacerbate the psychological crisis. </p> <p> The first installment of emergency funds have allowed us to serve hot meals to 2,000 refugees in Zgharta Caza with our local partner, the René Moawad Foundation, and provide critical medicines to 160 chronically sick refugees in Koura.
