Share & SaveMore Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesVillage families in the rural areas of Ouelessebougou face many health risks and diseases every day. Health education and disease prevention are key to enhancing the quality and longevity of life. Villagers do not have access to clean water or electricity. Many children die from simple causes such as diarrhea, measles and pneumonia and do not live past their fifth birthday. The Alliance provides healthcare for more than 20,000 villagers in 24 rural villages. ActivitiesHealth training is provided for health workers, who then provide training for village families. Vaccinations are administered for women and children. 2,300 villagers are fully vaccinated (three times per year), totaling 7,500 vaccinations.
