More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesCommunities like Canoa Quebrada, rather than benefiting from the growth of development in the area, are often suffering as local labor is exploited and youths are encouraged into prostitution and drugs. In this region of Brazil, famous for its musical heritage, one ex-resident has returned to her roots and joined forces with locals to help set up a music program for 30 disadvantaged youths. Music, education and recreation are combined to bring joy into their lives and hope for a better future ActivitiesMusic program includes chorus, ensemble, music lessons.
