More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesOnly 24 out of 600 Lycées (government high schools) in the country have been equipped by the government. 95% of private establishments do not even own a personal computer. 97% of teachers do not have any computer skills. 90% of students graduate from high school without ever having seen or touched a computer in the classroom, in an economy where basic computer literacy is a prerequisite for all white-collar employment. ActivitiesStarted in 2002, IEARN-SchoolNet-Cameroon Projects now reach 6,000 children each year with facts about health such as: “It’s Your Choice–A Vacation With or Without AIDS,” and encourages computer literacy. Funding InformationTotal Funding Received to Date: $1,000 Funding InformationThis project is now in implementation and no longer available for funding. Received funds will be used to accomplish concrete objectives as indicated in the project's "Activities" section. Updates will be posted under the "Progress Report" tab as they become available. Donors' contributions and pledges to this project totaled $1,000. The original project funding goal was $1,000.
