Promoting soy to help alleviate hunger in Malawi
More Information About this ProjectProject Needs and BeneficiariesWCK works to combat hunger in Malawi through an educational nutrition program that teaches youth about the importance of good nutrition. Due to a serious famine in Malawi there is a great need for both sustainable and immediate aid to alleviate hunger in Malawi. Our beneficiaries are Malawian Youth, the staff at each primary school who are all encouraged to share the information with their community. Volunteers also benefit from their first-hand contact with the Malawian people. ActivitiesThis program will provide immediate aid by providing each youth with a nutritious meal. It will also provide long-term aid through shared information about nutrition and soy. Funding InformationTotal Funding Received to Date: $490 Funding Policy: subsidized/guaranteed Funding InformationThis project is now in implementation and no longer available for funding. Received funds will be used to accomplish concrete objectives as indicated in the project's "Activities" section. Updates will be posted under the "Progress Report" tab as they become available.
