This project will build a basement floor for a Girls' Dormitory at St. Andrews Matale Secondary School in Rakai, Southern Uganda. The dorm will serve 300 secondary school girls, some orphans, creating a safe environment, and enhance the girls' chances of academic success. Many walk 3-6 miles each way to and from school every day, very early in the morning and late in the evening increasing safety risks. Girls in boarding schools spend this time to study or do extra-curricular activity.
