Trees for the Future, a sustainable development organization is working with farmers and community members in Bethel, Haiti to implement a community based agroforestry project. By planting multipurpose fast growing forestry trees along with local agricultural crops, we will address the challenges of deforestation, food insecurity, and the uncontrollable flooding of the Bethel River. We will be planting these trees during the two planting cycles: January to June and from July to December.
