Solar power for a remote hospital in Malawi

African Steps will install solar power at St Peter's Hospital Likoma Island, to prevent the suffering and deaths which are occurring every single day as a result of the current lack of electricity. Solar power will transform the health care at the hospital for the 10,000 people who live on Likoma and for approximately 70,000 people from neighbouring Mozambique and Tanzania, for whom St Peter's is the nearest medical facility.
