Care for body and mind
Life in the narrow rooms of temporary housing units often impacts the physical wellbeing of the evacuees. Numbness in the limbs, pain in the joints, muscle knots, poor blood circulation and weak muscles are common. Physiotherapists and occupational therapists can provide massages and offer guidance on exercises and streching to help improve the physical condition of the temporary housing residents.
