After researching the issue of Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children, I struggled to find images powerful enough to express my disgust. One word kept rising up in my consciousness-TRAPPED. The laws that should guard these girls instead deem them criminals, and the men who promise them security and love now threaten pain and violence. Finally, the idea of using a steel trap in conjunction with the silhouette of a young girl satisfied me. We already loathe the steel trap. We know this tool is barbaric; that anything caught in it has been lured in with trickery and a seemingly innocent offering of something desired by the target. We already understand that the steel trap is very difficult to escape, and that any creature that might manage to escape would require vigilant nurturing and would almost certainly be deeply scarred. We have an immediate deep and intuitive response-WE MUST HELP. --Holly Glaspey
