Parade Celebrating our 100th WISE Microloan

Volunteers from the US paraded through Kabale, Uganda with 120 WISE-ME beneficiaries. The parade coincided with our July 2011 Expanding Horizons trip and celebrated giving out our 100th microloan.

Women in Support of Education-Empower 40 Families!

Uganda Women and Girls

The Women in Support of Education-Microfinance and Empowerment (WISE-ME) initiative aims to provide both financial literacy and fiscal independence to women in the Elsie Lushaya Women's Group in Uganda. These women use $50-$150 microloans to start businesses that allow them to better provide for their families, achieve a higher standard of living, and provide their children with an education. Our program is unique because we partner US women who provide seed money for loans with the recipient.
