Students display paper masks they made at a FAVL 2010 Summer Reading Camp. Burkina Faso is known for its beautifully carved wooden masks. While the students' masks may have been slightly less elaborate than their inspirations, they were certainly more colorful!

Friends of African Village Libraries' summer reading camps teach students how to read. Through individual tutoring, educational games and activities, elementary school students learn how to read.
