Canine Companions for Independence provides adults (including veterans wounded while serving our country), or children with a disability with a highly-trained assistance dog, enabling them to live more independently. Services include providing our graduates with a dog trained in 40 commands. The training, placement and follow-up services are provided to our graduates free of charge.
