Specialists at the Phnom Tamao Wildlife Rescue Center ensure rescued animals from the illegal wildlife trade receive proper care for recovery and hopefully release. Exploitation of plants and animals in Cambodia is devastating the region's biodiversity. Populations of many Cambodian wildlife species, including tigers, Asian elephants and pangolins are declining sharply due to their high commercial value in the illegal wildlife trade.
