Construction of a food bank

After being trained in construction skills, local people work together to build the structure. This work includes clearing fields and making bricks. Volunteer labor has a value of at least 20% of the cost of the food bank. The banks are located at what we call “epicenters”: community centers where local people gather to develop programs that meet basic needs.
