This micro project will buy toys for 20 children in Uganda.Play is essential to the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being of children beginning in early childhood. It is a natural tool for children to develop resiliency as they learn to cooperate, overcome challenges, and negotiate with others. Play also allows children to be creative. This will provide time for parents to be fully engaged with their children, and to bond with them.
Majority of the kids make toys using papyrus or banana fiber, this is good but they don't last long so the child spends a whole day looking for papyrus in the bush making them vulnerable to snake bites and many more dangerous objects. Because lower-income parents have to deal with additional social, emotional, and economic stressors of daily living, they may have less money, energy, and resources available to provide active and creative play toys and playtime at home
The project will buy toys for the kids suitable or both boys and girls respectively.All children deserve the opportunity to reach their highest potential.
Studies confirm that active play is so central to child development that it should be included in the very definition of childhood. Play offers more than cherished memories of growing up, it allows children to develop creativity and imagination while developing physical, cognitive, and emotional strengths.
