Some students who have been admitted to college this year are unable to enter college because of the challenged economic conditions in their families. This project offers $700 to every student who is admitted to college but cannot afford the tuition fees so that the student will have the chance to realize his/her college dream.
Shu Cuixia is a student who has been admitted to a university this year who is from a underpriviledged family. Her grandfather is in his seventies and has high blood pressure. Her parents have no job and the living of the whole family depends on farming. The already underpriviledged family suffered seriously from this year's 5.10 jumbo storms. The poor family is now living in a shabby house and cannot afford Shu Cuixia and her sister's tuition fees.
$ 700 will be offered to the family to ease their economic conditons so that they can improve their living environment and Shu Cuihua can have the opportunity to enter college.
This program will help 100 admitted university students from underprivileged families to get to school, and provide them with a bright future.
This project has provided additional documentation in a Microsoft Word file (projdoc.doc).
