Zach is six. He lives with his mother, Yolette. Yolette didn't complete her primary school education, so she's found it difficult to find work and support Zach. The two have always lived in poverty. Yolette was lucky - she found our programme and now Zach's education is funded until the end of 2014. But there are so many children in Zach's situation who haven't yet found a sponsor. Your donations will let us enroll more kids living in poverty just like Zach in school.
School in Haiti is not free, and if a family cannot pay, their children simply do not attend. Lack of education locks these children in a cycle of poverty. Ensuring access to school not only improves children's lives, but strengthens Haitian communities in the long-term.
Zach has lived his whole life in poverty, but now thanks to donors like you he will get the education he needs to break the cycle of poverty. With that education, he'll be able to support himself when he grows up. With your help, we'll give more kids like Zach that same change. Your donations will pay for school fees, books, school supplies, and extra support if needed. The education you fund will start a child on the road out of poverty.
Access to education for children from families who do not have the means to send their children to school means that those children will have the skills they need to find stable jobs and escape the poverty of their families.
