Anish is 6 and he's a survivor of two Nepal earthquakes. Anish lives with his family in Kalangsa village in Hagam, Sindhupalchok. Anish's school was destroyed in the first earthquake and Anish and his classmates also lost their school supplies and desks. This means they're struggling to learn. This threatens Anish's future by denying him an education. But with your help we'll provide Anish with school supplies to get him learning again as quickly as possible.
Nepal has been devastated by two earthquakes in less than three weeks. Over 36,000 classrooms were destroyed or heavily damaged by the earthquakes and hundreds of thousands of kids, including Anish, also lost school supplies and desks. This is causing further harm to children like Anish by denying them an effective education. This threatens their futures by locking them into a cycle of poverty.
Your donations will be used to provide school supplies for children including Anish. Specifically this project will provide durable clipboards for 700 kids, including Anish, in Hagam, Sindhupalchok. These clipboards will provide a simple, yet effective, writing surface while these children don't have desks.
Your donations will help give kids like Anish an effective education and help them escape poverty when they're older. Hagam is over three hours from Kathmandu and its more rural location means that kids like Anish are poorer, and more neglected, than those in the capital. By allowing us to provide school supplies for them, you'll ensure these kids not only recover from the earthquakes, but also build stronger futures in the long-term.
