How Your Help has Improved Youth Health & Welfare
To Our Supporters,
We want to thank you warmly for helping us to deliver reproductive health education to the youth we serve in the Shauri Yako and Manjengo slums. With your support, we estimate that we have reached 10,000 members of our community.
Through this project, we raised $812 of our $3,000 target to support a six-month Reproductive Health Education project. We combined this with another $558.20 from other Global Giving project donations. We were able to provide a reproductive health education intiative by partnering with our local Scouts troop for volunteer support and a community health care organization, Family Health Solutions Nyeri to provide training,
Successes:
- Distributed 18,000 male and women condoms and provided counseling on their use
- Organized 5 education events in collaboration with the Nyeri Soccer Club
- Developed and distributed reproductive health education leaflets
- Provided individual counseling at SYSC's program centre
- Trained 10 peer-to-peer reproductive health education volunteer educators.

We have a remaining balance of $315 USD, which we intend to use to buy and distribute more condoms.
