We have been safety planning with Angelina for about a month. She is ready to flee her abusive husband in Albania. She wants to bring her precious dog Rocky home with her to the USA. We need $350 to get the necessary veterinarian certifications, vaccinations and a crate for Rocky to travel in on the airplane. When Angelina's husband gets angry he threatens to hurt Rocky. Angelina cannot leave Rocky behind.
When violence occurs in the home, pets also suffer. With this project, we will be able to bring Rocky home with Angelina as she escapes abuse in Albania and comes home to live with her parents. Angelina fears that is she leaves Rocky with her husband, he will hurt Rocky, or throw him into the streets to survive.
With this project, Rocky will be able to come home to the USA with Angelina and lead a full, happy life with her in the USA, away from violence.
We will provide services to 150 American victims with pets in approximately 50 countries while they are fleeing violence. Our goal is to have all of them reach safety with their pets and live their lives without violence in their homes.
