Nutritious food for Nolky in 2014

A microproject by International Disaster Volunteers (IDV)
Nutritious food for Nolky in 2014

Summary

This project will provide a year of nutritious food for Nolky. Nolky is one of eight children. His mom died in the earthquake, and his father was left unable to care for the family and he was forced to give his three youngest to the orphanage. Nolky is one of the orphanage's most responsible kids, and he hardly ever fights with his brothers and sisters! Nolky needs your help so that he can have nutritious food and keep growing strong!

Challenge

Following the effects of tropical storm Isaac and Hurricane Sandy in Haiti, the cost of food has almost doubled. This makes it far more difficult for the orphanage to buy the food it needs. Without your help, Nolky may have to go without nutritious meals, leaving him more vulnerable to illness and less healthy.

Solution

By donating today, you'll help us provide the food Nolky needs to stay healthy.

Long-Term Impact

A healthy, balanced diet prevents illness and promotes healthy growth. By providing the nutritious food Nolky needs, you're preventing illness and helping him grow up strong!
