Summary

The proposed initiative will make sure 25 tribal adolescent groups for a sustainable source of income through very small scale enterprises in the village. The proposed project will create a sense of empowerment amongst tribal adolescents in Purulia. Also, they will able to contribute in the family and play a dignified role. Economic empowerment is important to main stream tribal youths and girls in the area. This will contribute to almost 250 youths and girls to develop sense of responsibility

Challenge

Tribal in Purulia are left behind in many ways. Youths and girls are joining different groups to fight for their indigenous rights and fighting against the State. Sarada Group has organized youths and girls and formed groups for different activities i.e awareness, education and economic empowerment. The proposed project will provide micro enterprise assistance to 25 of such groups to initiate small scale business and benefit will go to 250 youths and girls. Its a confidence building measure.

Solution

Involvement of youths and girls in micro enterprise will build their confidence being an important citizen of the state. They will able to contribute in their respective families and will able to take part in different social processes in the communities. Micro business will support them to be a contributor both in family and in society and able to divert their focus on productive ventures. They will able to plan for a constructive future and contribute in peace building process in the community

Long-Term Impact

Their involvement will create a sense of responsibility for the society. They will able to feel connectedness in the family as well as in the society. Targeted, 250 youths and girls will be involved in their planned micro enterprises and able to diverted their attention in focused activities. The initiative will support 250 youths and girls to dissociate themselves from anti-state activities. Ultimately they will take part in peace process, which is very urgent in the area.
