Challenge

Help onboard a brand new NFTE classroom! We are growing and reaching more students every year, and with this microproject, you will help purchase textbooks, workbooks, online tools, teacher training, volunteer support, field trips and business plan competition prizes for five NFTE classrooms in the nation's capital.

Solution

Onboarding one entire new class of students fits directly into NFTE's national goal to plan and implement NFTE classroom modernization and growth in our core markets in order to serve more low-income youth. Providing 250 more students with entrepreneurship education and 21st century workforce development skills supports NFTE's mission and vision to help all kids find their own path to success.

Long-Term Impact

By working to keep at-risk students engaged in their school work, NFTE spurs its participants to graduate high school and dare to dream of a brighter future. Whether they pursue higher education, enter the workforce, or start their own business, NFTE instills an entrepreneurial mindset in young people so they can plan for success. Since its founding 20 years ago, NFTE DC Region has served 25,000 students at under-resourced schools.
