Sarah grows oyster mushrooms for business in Uganda, the mushroom is rich in vitamins and there fore liked by many. Sarah has seven children under her care, she sells mushrooms to the local markets, her mushroom is desired by the middle class but she can't afford the modern solar dryer and packaging material as arequirement for her to supply the supermarkets to meet needs of the middle class. If Sarah starts using them then she is most likely to capture a big market in town.
Sarah grows mushrooms in her backyard garden in a wooden house, she harvests much yield though, but needs a boost in order to increase her sales to reach middle class standard, she needs a solar dryer and packaging materials that can be used to package for supermarkets. Once this is done, Sarah's business will be self sustaining.
She will purchase a modern solar dryer, will be able to train to make her own spawn and thus leading to self sustainability. Many villagers will be able to learn from her hence increasing on the financial ability of the whole village as Sarah alone canot meet the market demand of mushrooms in town.
Never will she beg for food nor financial support for her self and the little children as she will have inflow of cash to meet all her family needs. The whole village will have a model Sarah with whim they can freely access mushroom information.
