Challenge

Alone, unable to speak the local language, isolated and abused, American women and their children in foreign countries face tremendous obstacles trying to flee home to the USA. When they do they find themselves homeless and penniless. By helping Gracie, she and Noah will be able to escape and get back home. Gracie has an uncle she and Noah can stay with once she is safely back to the USA.

Solution

Gracie can live with her uncle back in the USA with Noah. They will be safe and can begin a new life away from the violence before Noah gets any older. Getting children away from an abusive parent as young as possible minimizes the psychological, emotional and physical scars of childhood abuse.

Long-Term Impact

The project serves 500 women per year empowering them to find alternatives to a life of violence so their children grow up in violence free homes with their self-esteem in tact with the hope of stopping the cycle of violence in future generations.
