Summary

Chacco is a rose-breasted cockatoo whose medical needs (an injured wing and an open chest wound) were too much for his former owner to deal with financially. You can help Chacco get the veterinary care he desperately needs.

Challenge

Chacco is a beautiful, intelligent, caring, young bird who needs a new home, one that can love and care for him as a part of their family for the rest of his life. Before Mickaboo can find him that new home, we need to address Chacco's veterinary needs - including at least one surgery.

Solution

This project will help pay for Chacco's veterinary care.

Long-Term Impact

Mickaboo has over 400 birds like Chacco in our care, most of whom come to us injured, abused, or neglected, or are very ill. We provide them with the medical attention they need to survive and thrive, and then find new "forever families" for these birds. Those who surrender their birds to us are assured their former pet birds will receive the care and human interaction these intelligent, social creatures deserve.
