Education is the only tool which can make a difference in any one's life. Many orphans are languishing in poverty due to lack of an opportunity to access education especially high school. This project is solving this problems by giving an opportunity to orphans to through high school. Beverly is one of the orphans who joined high school this year.
Beverly is 16 years old and she lost both her parents when she was 8 years old. Her grandparents are very old and they can't fend for themselves and therefore they couldn't take care of Beverly. Beverly did her national primary examination in 2014 and passed very well. She was one of the top 10 pupils in her school. Beverly was then enrolled in high school this year but she can't remain in school due to lack of fees, she is sent home most of the time for school fees which she can't raise
Beverly is a hard worker and wants to become a lecturer in a recognized university. This project will enable Beverly stay in school without being sent home for school fees. She will also achieve her goal after which will make a difference both in the community and her family. Enabling Beverly to continue with high school will help the community, it will reduce early pregnancy in the community, child labour and even prostitution in young girls. Help Beverly to continue with high school.
Ensuring the high school education of a child will have an invaluable impact on their life, family and community and will help to break the cycle of poverty. The Fund will allow the 600 children in Tumaini's primary school to continue their education in high school, so they may become self-reliant adults contributing to the community.
