Dennise is being imprisoned in Dubai for one year for having sex outside of marriage. She placed her daugher, Amani, in the care of a Sudanese family. A man in this family faked a birth certificate for her daughter Amani and has claimed custody while Dennise was imprisoned. We have hired an attorney to represent Dennise and demand the judge conduct a DNA test so Dennise can come home to Texas with her daughter Amani,
Sex outside of marriage is forbidden in Dubai. The cost for Dennise having sex with her boyfriend was a year in prison and now, paternal fraud by a man so he can gain custody of her daughter Amani. We don't know this man's motivation behind his actions, but we do know that when Amani turns 21, she can pass American citizenship onto this man and his family.
We have hired an attorney. when successful, we will be able to bring Amani and her mom home to Texas where they can live freely.
The project serves 500 women per year empowering them to find alternatives to a life of violence so their children grow up in violence free homes with their self-esteem in tact with the hope of stopping the cycle of violence in future generations.
